Colombia qualified for the Copa America 2024 final.
Midfielder Jefferson Lerma scored a header in the 39th minute of the game, and Colombia eliminated Uruguay 1-0 during their Copa America semifinal on Wednesday night at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Colombia will face Argentina, the defending Copa America and World Cup champions, on 14th July, Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The in-form midfielder James Rodríguez helped Colombia extend its win streak. Rodríguez recorded his sixth assist, which is the most of any player during this Copa America campaign.
