Chelsea player ratings vs Crystal Palace: Cole Palmer impresses again, but Jackson’s goal only secures a disappointing draw for the Blues

The game between Chelsea and Crystal Palace was an intense one under a hot London afternoon. Chelsea seeks redemption after an away loss in the conference league mid week.

Crystal Palace were seeking to break their long streak of losing against Chelsea in the premier league.

The first half was intense with both teams pressing and pushing for goal although Chelsea dominated most of the times and scoring a goal in the process, Crystal Palace were relentless in breaking Chelsea’s plays and making sure they didn’t concede any more.

Crystal palace equalised 54 minutes into the game through a beautifully taken curler by Eberechi Eze who’s been instrumental throughout the game.

Robert Sanchez had an average afternoon having a 90% success rate in passes. With 2  saves and 2 out of 5 long crosses completely.

Malo Gusto (7/10):

Gusto’s afternoon was cut short after sustaining an injury and being substituted eventually by Mudryk, he had 4/4 long balls completed and a 94% pass accuracy 

Wesley Fofana (7.7/10):

With 3 clearances and 2 blocked shots, 1 clearance and an interception, he was good but was a bit sloppy and slow

Levi Colwill (7.2/10):

Colwill saw a lot of the ball with 126 touches, 4 clearances.

M. Cucurella (7/10):

Cucurella was everywhere on the left flank of the pitch, inverting into the midfield and helping the pact in the middle.

Midfielders 

Enzo Fernandez (7.1/10):

Enzo hasn’t been on his game since returning from injury, although he had 1/1 crosses, his long balls weren’t as pinpoint as they normally are.

M. Caicedo (7.5/10):

Moi had a very busy afternoon, with 3 interceptions and 5 tackles, he proved almost impossible to dribble past during the game, he also had 4/4 long balls.

Cole Palmer (8/10):

Cole Palmer didn’t have a very great afternoon, but he’s still him. Creating 2 chances and giving an assist Palmer played his heart out playing deep sometimes and linking the defence with the attack.

Noni Madueke (6.4/10):

Noni didn’t really show the man we saw Vs Wolves, missing 2 big chances and finding it difficult to break the palace defence with 3 dribble attempts and succeeding only once.

Pedro Neto (6.4/10):

Neto had a quiet afternoon too, with Palace playing a low block, none of his 4 crosses were successful.

N. Jackson(7/10):

Despite his goal, Jackson could’ve probably buried the game missing a one on one after being put through on goal, he needs to work on his finishing if this chelsea team will succeed.
